			Education Michael Nicklin, Ph.D., P.E., the principal of Nicklin Earth & Water, has a comprehensive educational background in both civil engineering and earth sciences: Ph.D., Civil Engineering, Montana State University, 1983 M.S., Water Resources, Iowa State University, 1974 B.S., Civil Engineering, Montana State University, 1979 B.S., Geology, Iowa State University, 1972 The curriculums emphasized mathematics and statistical methods. Before entering the profession of private consulting, he taught at the University of Nebraska. Experience Michael has over 30 years of experience in hydrogeology, water resources, environmental sciences, and civil engineering. His broad background in applying computer methodologies to surface water, ground-water, and environmental systems has proven to be invaluable experience. More specifically, he has developed several ground-water models to assist in decision making processes. Projects he has led range from limited site characterizations to conducting work at National Priority List (NPL) sites. He has provided expert witness testimony and litigation services for some of his past clients.
